About Pharmakon Life Sciences
Welcome to Pharmakon Life Science
At Pharmakon Life Science, 12 dedicated employees work in two teams: Competence and Support. Together, we create the framework that enables our students to gain new and practical skills.
Our instructors have extensive experience in the life sciences industry and are passionate about teaching GMP regulations, tools, and best practices. They all have a background in education and teach a variety of audiences—from unskilled operators at the AMU level to academics and managers in specialized courses.
We hold most of our courses at the Pharmakon Conference Center, which is designed to enhance the learning experience with comfortable, modern facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.
... and there are many more of us
We collaborate with a wide range of external specialists affiliated with Pharmakon Life Science.
They teach courses in the very field in which they specialize and in which they work on a daily basis.
They are passionate about sharing their field of expertise, and as a participant, you will therefore encounter dedicated instructors who place a strong emphasis on the practical application of their field.
Would you like to teach?
Maybe you'd like to try teaching in your specific field of expertise?
If you:
- have extensive experience in life sciences.
- have an idea for a course that would complement the courses we already offer.
- can share examples from your own daily life.
- would like to lead a classroom.
- can tell a story in a way that keeps people on the edge of their seats.
If so, please feel free to reach out to us.
How does it work?
As an external instructor, you will plan and conduct courses in your area of expertise. When teaching, you will draw on your education, skills, and experience to ensure that the instruction is tailored to the participants’ needs, so that they feel comfortable and actively participate throughout the course.
You’re not on your own. A Pharmakon instructor will work closely with you to help ensure that participants have an active, enjoyable, and educational course. This means that learning takes place in an engaging and interactive way.

The History of Pharmakon Life Science
We began back in 1970, when the Pharmacy Technician School was inaugurated. At that time, the school served as the framework for both basic and continuing education in the pharmacy sector.
Back then, pharmacies manufactured medicines, so the laboratory was an important part of the training for pharmacy assistants.
In the early 1980s, we had spare capacity in the laboratory, and in 1983 we were approved as a provider of AMU courses for employees in the pharmaceutical industry (life sciences). Since then, we have focused on providing AMU courses related to GMP regulations.
In 1989, we held our first professional training course on GMP, and by 1991, our course offerings had expanded to the point where we published our first course catalog specifically for the life sciences.
In 1996, we were designated a WHO Collaborating Center and began traveling to other countries (primarily the NIS countries) to train national inspectors in EU GMP regulations.
In 2020, the COVID-19 lockdown led to an increase in activity, as we provided training to many unemployed people from areas affected by the lockdown—such as the airport—to become pharmaceutical operators.
Pharmakon Life Science has a special responsibility
As a special initiative, the profits from Pharmakon Life Science are directed toward research in pharmacy practice—that is, to help pharmacies become even better at advising patients on their medications.
